+1 Katana Evolution Stages Walkthrough
Damage gates from rookies to 30,444, Teleport rules, circle-strafing, and Win pads after each clear.
Stages are the combat ladder in +1 Katana Evolution. You do not unlock a story chapter and you do not share clears with the other eleven players on the server. You look at recommended damage on the HUD, you fight the pack, and if you live you step on a GET +1 WIN pad. This walkthrough covers Stage 1 through Stage 5, the Teleport button, the circle method, and why a pad after a clear is the whole point of the map. If you have not finished the first 30 minutes, start on Getting Started and come back when Stage 1 is repeatable.
How a stage is supposed to feel
Each map prints a recommended damage number. That number is a gate, not flavor text. Under it, you chip and you die. At it, you circle and you clear. Over it, you farm. Damage is the HUD stat you compare; Speed is how fast you can orbit the pack without eating every swing. Level/XP still ticks, but it does not replace the gate. Watch Ad x2 can double a push; it cannot make Stage 5 cheap if you teleported there from bamboo.
Teleport sits on the same HUD row as Store, Rebirth, and Inventory. Use it to return to a map you already hold, or to inspect the next gate’s label. Do not use it as a skip. Landing on a map millions of damage above you is a respawn loop, not progress. If the Teleport list is confusing, the button-by-button pass is on Controls and HUD.
Stage 1 — rookies, bamboo, first pad
Stage 1 is easy rookies. Bamboo katana is enough. COOKED (50K Damage plus 1 Level) makes this a stomp if you already redeemed codes; if you did not, join the group and claim them from the Codes Hub. Clear the pack, then look for the GET +1 WIN pad. That pad is the first income that is not a promo string. Spend the first Win on the wooden sword, then put extras into click upgrades as How to Get Wins describes. Circle even here: standing in the middle of four rookies trains a bad habit for Stage 4.
Stage 2 — ~300 damage, sensei and squires
Stage 2 is the first real gate: about 300 damage, sensei and squires. If your HUD is under that, stay on Stage 1 pads and Store clicks. If you are at 300, Auto Click on, orbit the edge, and do not eat the front of the pack. This is the farm that unlocks a sane first rebirth. Rebirthing before you can reclear this map on demand is the mistake the rebirth guide exists to stop. After the clear, pad. Do not Teleport out before the pad — the stage is not done when the last squire falls.
Stage 3 — ~5,000 damage
Stage 3 wants about 5,000 damage. Wooden plus click upgrades plus COOKED leftover may still be short. This is where the katana tier list starts to matter: fire and later purple blades exist to close gates, not to sit in Inventory as souvenirs. You keep those blades after rebirth, so buying a Stage 3 katana is a permanent account step. If 5,000 is a reach, farm Stage 2 pads until Store clicks close the gap. Circle-strafing is no longer optional; a 5,000 pack punishes standing still harder than rookies do.
Stage 4 — the wipe check
Stage 4 is harder without a round number on the HUD. Treat it as the first wipe check. If you die in two swings, you teleported early. Back up, buy damage, and return. Pack density goes up; orbit a wider circle and let Auto Click work from the edge. Win pads still spawn after a clear — if you skip the pad because you panicked toward Teleport, you paid the hard fight for zero Wins. Stage 4 is also a bad place to open Rebirth mid-pack. Reset from a safe HUD panel after the pad, not during a respawn.
Stage 5 — 30,444 recommended, then millions
Stage 5 prints 30,444 recommended damage. That is the number to beat, not a suggestion. Later maps jump into the millions and public sessions have reached Stage 23–24 — that climb is on late-game stages, not a first-hour Teleport. If a session video shows someone skipping to a high rebirth and then walking Stage 5, that is not the free path. You still need the HUD damage. After a Stage 5 clear, pad first, Store second, Teleport third. Eggs can wait until the pad is banked — hatching in the middle of a 30k pack is how you donate a life to a wizard you did not finish.
Circle method, in one paragraph
Move around the pack, not through it. Keep the cluster on one side of the screen so you can see who still has health. Auto Click handles the swings; you handle the orbit. On PC this is mouse plus the in-game toggle. On mobile it is thumb-strafe plus the same toggle. External auto-clickers are a common PC habit and are not required to execute the circle. If you stop moving to open Store, you will eat a pack. Open panels between waves, or after a pad.
Session route that actually uses Teleport
- Teleport to the highest stage whose recommended damage you already beat.
- Circle-clear the pack. Do not stand in the middle.
- Step on GET +1 WIN before you touch any other button.
- Compare HUD damage to the next gate (300, 5,000, 30,444, then millions).
- If you are short, Store and the katana list. If you hold the next gate, Teleport forward one map only.
Rebirth and evolve are not stage tools. Rebirth is a multiplier reset that keeps katanas; evolve is the purple level bar. Do not mix them into a Teleport decision. If the next map is a farm, stay and pad. If it is a wipe, go back one. That is the whole walkthrough: gates, orbit, pad, then one Teleport — never a skip into a million-damage label you cannot read without dying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What damage do Stages 1–5 actually want?
Stage 1 is easy rookies. Stage 2 wants about 300 damage. Stage 3 wants about 5,000. Stage 4 is a harder wipe check. Stage 5 lists 30,444 recommended damage. Later maps jump into the millions.
Does Teleport skip a damage gate?
No. Teleport moves you. Recommended damage still applies. Warp to a map you can hold, then pad. Button placement is on Controls and HUD.
When do I step on the Win pad?
After the pack is down, before Store or Teleport. Pads are how you convert a clear into currency. Spending order is on How to Get Wins.
Why circle-strafe instead of standing in the pack?
Standing in the middle is how Stage 4 and Stage 5 wipe you. Orbit the edge, keep Auto Click on, and only open HUD panels between waves.
Should I rebirth on Stage 2 or push Stage 5 first?
Hold Stage 2 as a farm before any rebirth. Stage 5’s 30,444 gate is a later problem. Read How to Rebirth before you reset on a map you cannot reclear.
I still have the bamboo katana. Which stage am I on?
Stage 1. Buy the wooden sword at one Win, then use the katana tier list before fire or purple blades. First-hour order is on Getting Started.
