How to Hatch Eggs in +1 Katana Evolution
Open Hatch Egg, read the odds, Hatch 3 if you can, and never equip a worse pet.
Eggs are the RNG layer on top of katanas in +1 Katana Evolution. They do not clear stages for you. They do not replace the GET +1 WIN pad. They roll a pet that may or may not raise Damage on the HUD. This page is the hatch loop: where the menu sits, what the percentages mean, how Hatch 3 spends extra currency, and the one rule that saves more progress than any Secret chase — do not replace a stronger pet with a weaker hatch.
If you have not finished Stage 1, stop here and open Getting Started. If you already have a pet and only want ranks, skip to the pets tier list. Codes and rebirth still matter more than eggs in the first hour: claim RELEASE and COOKED first, then hatch.
Where Hatch Egg sits on the HUD
The hatch panel is not the X/Twitter code icon. Store, Rebirth, Teleport, and Inventory stay on the left. Eggs open from a Hatch Egg window in the world or from a nearby egg vendor pad — footage shows a centered overlay titled Hatch Egg with colored orbs for each rarity. Auto Click does not hatch for you. You have to click Hatch or Hatch 3.
Inventory is where pets you already own live. After a hatch, compare the new companion against the equipped one before you swap. The HUD pet slot (the small counter near trophies) ticks up when a hatch lands, not when the overlay opens.
If the overlay will not appear, you are probably standing on a combat pad. Teleport out, or walk off the Stage 5 arena, then try again. Controls and HUD maps every left-side button so you are not hunting eggs inside Rebirth.
Odds you can actually read
The Hatch Egg UI prints percentages. Treat them as the live table, not as a promise that your next three eggs are Epic:
| Rarity | About | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Common / Uncommon | Shared with Rare in the ~40% bucket | Fine for the first companion. Replace later. |
| Rare | ~40% of the common-side pool | Keep if it beats your current pet. |
| Epic | ~50% | The usual “good” roll. Footage shows a lightning-style Epic. |
| Legendary | ~10% | Worth locking in if Damage on the HUD goes up. |
| Secret | ~0.20% | Pink horned pet in public footage. Do not hatch 200 eggs expecting one. |
Common, Uncommon, and Rare together eat most of the leftover probability after Epic. Secret is a rounding error you should never plan a session around. If a hatch is worse than the pet you already swing with, keep the old one. That sentence is the entire mid-game hatch policy.
Hatch versus Hatch 3
Hatch spends one roll. Hatch 3 spends three in one confirm. Use Hatch 3 only when you can afford to throw away two duds. Early game, after RELEASE Wins went into a wooden katana, you usually cannot. Mid game, when Stage 2 (~300 recommended damage) is a farm, Hatch 3 is how you burn surplus currency without standing in the overlay for ten minutes.
A +1 Luck label appears on some hatch screens. Treat it as a small tilt, not a Secret machine. Watch Ad x2 on the main HUD does not apply to egg odds. Game passes that double Wins or Damage also do not change Secret from 0.20%. If a pass named luck exists later, check the store and game passes page before you assume eggs got cheaper.
When to hatch at all
Hatch after a stage is farmable, not instead of farming it. Stage 1 rookies and the first win pad teach the loop; eggs during that window steal clicks you should spend on the wooden sword. Stage 3 (~5,000 recommended) is the first time a pet swap can outpace a click-upgrade pad. Stage 5 (30,444) is where a Secret or a strong Legendary is a luxury on top of a blade that already matches the gate — see the katana tier list and the stages walkthrough.
Late maps go well past Stage 5. Public sessions have teleported to Stage 23 and cleared Stage 24 with a Secret in tow. That is a late-game problem. Eggs help there only if they raise the HUD number that the next gate prints.
Do not hatch immediately after a rebirth unless you still have spare currency. Rebirth keeps katanas and tends to wipe padded Wins. An egg bought with Wins you needed for the next blade is a worse rebirth than waiting.
After the overlay closes
- Read the rarity label on the pet, not the cute model.
- Check Damage and Speed on the HUD with the new pet equipped, then with the old one.
- Keep the higher Damage pet. Looks do not clear sensei packs.
- Bank extra pets in Inventory if the game lets you hold more than one. The slot counter going from 1 to 3 does not mean you should swing all three.
- Go back to a farmable stage. Pets do not replace GET +1 WIN.
Unofficial auto-hatch toggles exist on auto farm scripts. They will roll Common pets all night if you leave rarity filters off. Manual Hatch 3 with a filter in your head (keep Epic+, compare HUD) is slower and safer for an account you care about.
The game is free, released 11 June 2026, still updating as of September 2026. If the Hatch Egg overlay prints new percentages after a patch, trust the overlay over this table and then check the updates hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where do I hatch eggs in +1 Katana Evolution?
Open the Hatch Egg overlay from the egg pad or vendor, then press Hatch or Hatch 3. It is not the X code icon. Button map: Controls and HUD.
What are the hatch odds?
Epic sits around 50%, Rare around 40% of the common-side pool, Legendary around 10%, Secret around 0.20%. Rank them on the pets tier list.
Should I use Hatch 3 as a beginner?
No. Spend first Wins on the wooden katana and Stage 1 pads. Hatch 3 is for surplus after Stage 2 is farmable. See How to Get Wins.
I hatched a Secret. What now?
Equip it only if Damage on the HUD rises. Then push late-game stages. A Secret on bamboo still fails Stage 2.
Do codes hatch eggs?
No. RELEASE is 10K Wins and COOKED is 50K Damage plus a Level. Redeem them on the codes hub, then buy eggs only if the pad is already farmable.
